Lakeside Haverthwaite Railway & Windermere Cruise

Today, we delve into the beauty of the Lake District by rail and water! Begin with a nostalgic journey aboard the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, where vintage 1950s carriages are pulled by steam engines through the picturesque Leven Valley to Lakeside Station.

From there, continue your adventure with a scenic Windermere Lake Cruise, gliding across the serene waters of England’s largest lake. Our journey concludes in the charming town of Bowness, where you’ll have free time to explore its quaint streets and lakeside attractions.

Take the day to relax, explore at your leisure, or join our optional excursion to Kendal, a vibrant market town renowned for its famous mint cake!

Keswick and Grasmere

Explore the charming market town of Keswick, nestled on the shores of Derwentwater, where the main square is lined with independent shops, quaint cafés, and art galleries. We will also visit the picturesque Grasmere, located in the heart of the Lake District, home to the famous Sarah Nelson’s Grasmere Gingerbread Shop.
