Rattenberg, Lake Achensee and Cruise

This morning, we visit Rattenberg, the smallest town in Tyrol, renowned for its beautifully preserved medieval charm and its reputation as the Tyrolean home of glass and crystal. Here, we’ll explore a showroom and watch skilled artisans at work.

We then continue to the serene shores of Lake Achensee, the largest alpine lake in Tyrol. Enjoy a relaxing boat trip, and perhaps take a leisurely stroll along the lake before returning to your hotel.

Ziller Valley Train and Show Cheese Dairy

Hop aboard this charming train for a nostalgic ride, complete with schnapps and folk music to enhance the experience. Enjoy breathtaking views of the towering mountains as the train winds its way through the scenic Ziller Valley.

Before returning to the hotel, we’ll stop in Fügen to visit the Show Cheese Dairy. Here, you can observe the traditional process of Austrian cheese production, and you might even have the opportunity to sample some!

Salzburg

Experience the magic of Salzburg, the Mozart capital and iconic location for The Sound of Music.

Our guided walking tour will take you through the city’s highlights, including the baroque beauty of its churches and cathedral, the imposing Hohensalzburg Fortress, and the charming Getreidegasse, one of Austria’s most picturesque shopping streets with its distinctive wrought-iron signs.

Enjoy a traditional lunch in Salzburg, followed by free time to explore the city, shop, or sightsee before we return to the hotel.

The Pinzgau Narrow Gauge Railway and Krimml Falls

We travel to Niedernsill to board the Pinzgau train, a narrow-gauge railway that has been winding through the scenic Salzach Valley for over 100 years.

Our journey takes us to the awe-inspiring Krimml Falls, Europe’s highest waterfall and the fifth tallest in the world. You can either walk to the base of the falls or take a trail along the side for a closer view of this stunning natural spectacle.

A must-see for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike—just be sure to bring an umbrella, as the spray from the falls can be quite refreshing, even on the sunniest days!
