Day 1

Local departure by coach, then travel by Express Coach overnight to Italy.

Day 2

Continuing south to Italy, we travel on to Alassio for a late afternoon arrival, and a six-night stay.

Cannes and Grasse

Today, we cross into France and arrive in Cannes, once a small fishing village and now a glamorous seaside town renowned as one of Europe’s top social hubs and home to the famous film festival each May. Explore the charm of Le Suquet with its cobbled streets and stunning views, or relax at a café and enjoy people-watching along the picturesque marina.

Next, we head to Grasse, the perfume capital of France. Surrounded by fragrant flower fields, Grasse offers a wealth of sights, including the Saracen Tower, the International Museum of Perfume, and the Church of Plascassier.

Monaco and Monte Carlo

Monaco is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, offering a perfect day to unwind while still providing plenty to explore. From museums and gardens to monuments, there’s something for everyone.

We will visit Monte Carlo, located at the foot of the Maritime Alps. At the western edge of the resort is the iconic Place du Casino, the renowned gambling hub that has earned Monte Carlo its reputation as a playground for the rich and famous. Take in the stunning views of the glamorous marina, complete with luxurious yachts, and the impressive Monaco Palace.

Portofino

Explore the charming village of Portofino, nestled in a serene coastal inlet surrounded by olive-covered hills. The view from the harbour is truly breathtaking, and you could easily spend the entire day soaking it in.

During our visit, we’ll have the chance to discover various attractions, including the stunning Castello Brown, as well as the Church of St. Martin, the Church of St. George, and the Santa Maria Assunta Oratory.

San Remo

Join us for an optional excursion to San Remo, a charming city on the Mediterranean coast of western Liguria in north-western Italy, as part of our tour of the Italian and French Riviera.

Founded in Roman times, San Remo is renowned for its picturesque harbour, vibrant atmosphere, and the striking Russian church, making it a popular tourist destination along the Italian Riviera.

Ventimiglia and Menton

Today, enjoy our included excursions. Visit Ventimiglia’s vibrant street market for some great shopping, then head to Menton, known as the ‘Lemon Festival Capital of the World’.

Nestled near the border between France and Italy, Menton has a distinctly Italian feel. The town boasts a unique microclimate, making it milder than much of the French Riviera. Explore its charming architecture and take in the beautiful scenery during our visit.

We travel back overnight through France.

Day 9

Return home.
