Embark on a relaxing and picturesque cruise along the Seine, northern France’s most iconic river. Board a CroisiEurope ship and unwind as you sail to the charming town of Honfleur, the beautiful Côte Fleurie, the captivating city of Paris, and the breathtaking gardens of renowned French Impressionist artist, Claude Monet.
Included Excursions
Day 1
Local departure by coach, then to the Paris area for an overnight stay.
Day 2
Paris with Guided Sightseeing Tour
Spend the day in Paris with an included guided sightseeing tour, covering many of the city’s iconic landmarks. From the Eiffel Tower to the Sacré-Cœur, Paris is a city brimming with history and charm. Afterward, we board the MS Seine Princess for a memorable four-night cruise.
Day 3
Monet’s Gardens
Today, we leave our ship for an included excursion to Giverny in Normandy, where we visit the home and gardens of Claude Monet. The artist lived here from 1883 until his death in 1926, and today his house and gardens, made famous by his Water Lilies paintings, have been carefully restored to their original design.
Monet’s gardens, stretching from his house to the river, inspired many of his iconic works, including the ‘Nympheas’ (Water Lilies) and the ‘Pont Japonais’ (Japanese Bridge), which has been recreated for visitors to enjoy.
Afterward, we return to the ship for lunch and set sail overnight towards Honfleur.
Day 4
Honfleur and Cote Fleurie
We arrive in Honfleur mid-morning and have some free time to explore. This charming port, untouched by time, retains the landmarks of its rich history, making it one of the most popular towns in France.
After lunch aboard the ship, join our included excursion to discover the Côte Fleurie and sample Calvados, the famous apple brandy. Our first stop is Deauville, a glamorous Normandy resort known for its elegance and prestige. Take a stroll along the iconic beachside boardwalks, built in 1923 to allow women to enjoy the seaside without damaging their dresses.
We then set sail overnight along the Seine toward Rouen.
Day 5
Rouen
Our ship arrives in Rouen this morning, and the city center, along with its famous cathedral, is just a short walk away!
Stretching along the Seine, Rouen is Normandy’s cultural, historical, and gastronomic hub. The Gros-Horloge, or Great Clock, is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. This Gothic belfry has housed the city’s communal bells and clock since its construction in the late 14th century.
After exploring, we cruise overnight toward Poissy.
Day 6
Versailles
We arrive in Poissy this morning and disembark. From here, join our included excursion to the renowned gardens of Versailles, originally designed for Louis XIV. Take a leisurely stroll through the expansive gardens, along the Grand Canal, or explore the many fountains and pools.
Please note that time will be limited due to our sailing schedule. Due to road access in Poissy, there will be a 10-15 minute walk from the ship to our coach.
After our visit to Versailles, we continue to our overnight hotel on the outskirts of Paris.
Day 7
Return home.
Please note, all cruise schedules, ports of call and onshore excursions may be subject to change.
