Local departure by coach, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.

We travel to an overnight hotel within the vicinity of Passau.
Day 3
Passau
We travel to Passau, the ‘three rivers city’ where the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers converge. After boarding the MS Serenade 1, we set sail overnight for Regensburg, enjoying dinner and a relaxing evening on board.
Day 4
Passau – Regensburg
This morning, we arrive in Regensburg, located at the northernmost point of the Danube. Our optional city tour explores the well-preserved medieval centre, showcasing its many sights. Later this afternoon, we continue our cruise overnight towards Nuremberg.

Day 5
Nuremberg
Nuremberg, Bavaria’s second-largest city after Munich, offers a blend of medieval charm and modern life. With its well-preserved city walls, Gothic churches, aristocratic houses, fountains, and the impressive Kaiser Castle, it’s a city steeped in history.
Our optional city tour is the perfect way to explore its highlights before we reboard the ship and set sail overnight towards Bamberg.

Day 6
Bamberg
This morning, we arrive in Bamberg, nestled at the start of the Main-Danube Canal and surrounded by seven hills. Known for its well-preserved medieval centre, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bamberg offers plenty of historic charm.
Join our optional city tour to visit highlights like the cathedral, Altenburg Castle, the Old Town Hall, and the former Benedictine Monastery. Afterward, relax as we sail toward Würzburg.

Day 7
Wurzburg
This morning, you have free time to explore Würzburg, a city once home to powerful prince-bishops.
Alternatively, join our optional excursion to visit the stunning Würzburg Palace, a masterpiece of Baroque art, along with its 8th-century church and the impressive Fortress Marienberg. In the evening, we set sail for Wertheim.

Day 8
Wertheim – Miltenberg
This morning, enjoy free time to explore the historic town of Wertheim.
After lunch, we set sail for Miltenberg, where we’ll dock overnight. Known as the “pearl of the River Main,” Miltenberg boasts charming half-timbered houses in its Old Market Place, with the town’s oldest area nestled between the Main River and Greinberg Mountain.
Day 9
Miltenberg – Aschaffenburg
Early this morning, we depart Miltenberg and continue our journey to Aschaffenburg, arriving just before lunch.
After lunch onboard, you can join our optional excursion to Johannisburg Palace, a stunning former residence of the archbishop-electors of Mainz, located by the River Main. This evening, we set sail and cruise overnight towards Rüdesheim.

Day 10
Rudesheim – Boppard
This morning, we arrive in the charming wine town of Rüdesheim. You can explore the town’s highlights on our optional excursion, including a visit to the fascinating Siegfried’s Mechanical Museum and a cable car ride offering stunning views across the Rhine Valley.
After lunch onboard, we set sail for Boppard, arriving early this afternoon. The rest of the day and evening are free for you to relax onboard or discover Boppard at your own pace.

Day 11
Boppard – Koblenz – Andernach
This morning, we set sail from Boppard to Koblenz, one of Germany’s oldest and most picturesque cities. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time to explore at your own pace before lunch onboard.
In the afternoon, join our optional excursion to Sayn Palace and its beautiful Butterfly Garden. After dinner, we continue our journey and sail on to Andernach, where we will berth overnight.

Day 12
Andernach – Cologne
Today, we set sail to Cologne, the largest city on the Rhine. Upon arrival this afternoon, you’ll have free time to relax or explore the city at your leisure. In the evening, we gather for our farewell dinner onboard the MS Serenade 1.
Day 13
Today we say farewell to the MS Serenade 1 as we disembark in Cologne and head towards Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 14
Return home.
