Today, we explore the stunning landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales, starting with Pateley Bridge, a picturesque market town nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, known for its historic buildings and local produce.

We then head to Grassington, a charming town with independent shops, art galleries, and cosy cafés, famously featured as ‘Darrowby’ in All Creatures Great and Small, before concluding with a visit to Skipton, the ‘Gateway to the Dales,’ where you can wander through quaint alleyways and enjoy scenic canal-side walks.

Morning at Leisure, an Afternoon Walking Tour and Afternoon Tea

After a relaxing morning, we take a guided walk around the elegant town of Harrogate, exploring its beautiful gardens and cultural landmarks.

Our guide will share insights into the town’s history before we enjoy a delightful Afternoon Tea at the Palm Court Café, learning about its origins and tea etiquette.

The rest of the day is yours to relax at the hotel or explore Harrogate at your leisure.

Please note that the walking tour of Harrogate will take approximately 40 minutes and Afternoon Tea will be taken in the function room of the Palm Court Cafe. Access to this room is up two flights of stairs – there is no lift.

Enjoy an included excursion to the historic city of York, known for its stunning architecture and charming Shambles. Stroll through its medieval streets, explore independent shops, tearooms, and cafés, or take time to admire the gothic beauty of York Minster and visit one of the city’s many renowned museums – there’s something for everyone!
