Continue south to our resort in the Lake Garda area for a three-night stay.
Embark on our included excursion along Lake Garda’s eastern shores. Our first stop is Malcesine, with its backdrop of the majestic Monte Baldo. From there, we move to Garda, the region’s main town. Here, you can wander through the quaint, narrow streets of the old village or unwind at a café.
Next, we journey to Sirmione, an ancient fortified town celebrated for its scenic beauty and laid-back vibe. You’ll have the chance to explore several landmarks, including the 13th-century Scaliger Castle, and the churches of Sant’Anna della Rocca, San Pietro in Mavino, and Santa Maria Maggiore.
To cap off the experience, there’s an optional 30-minute cruise around the peninsula, offering a unique perspective of Sirmione’s charm.

Embark on our optional excursion to Venice, a city renowned for its breathtaking architecture, rich history, and lively culture. Known for its intricate network of canals, Venice has also been a significant cultural hub, nurturing many renowned musicians.
Today, Venice offers an array of experiences, from its museums and art galleries to its iconic monuments and bridges. You’ll have the opportunity to explore at your own pace, visiting landmarks such as the Doge’s Palace, the Clock Tower, the Museum of Natural History, and the Venice Academy Gallery. Don’t miss the chance to see the Basilica di San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, the Rialto Bridge, and the majestic Grand Canal.
Optional Venice excursion (£60pp)
Departing from Lake Garda, our journey takes us to the enchanting city of Siena. The city’s historical centre is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making Siena a top destination in Italy, celebrated for its rich heritage and stunning attractions. We’ll have the opportunity to soak in the culture and explore key sites at our leisure. Among these, you’ll see the Piazza del Campo, one of the globe’s most renowned squares, known for hosting the exhilarating Palio di Siena horse race.
After our time in Siena, we’ll travel south to the Fiuggi area, close to Rome, for a three-night stay.
You have the option to take an excursion to the picturesque Neapolitan resort town of Sorrento, where you can enjoy a full day of leisure.
Enhance your experience with our ‘Taste of Sorrento’ optional tour, which includes a guided walk through the town and a visit to a Limoncello factory. Limoncello, made from lemon rind, water, sugar, and alcohol, is a renowned digestif in Sorrento, offering you a taste of local flavour.

Spend the day exploring Rome, the ‘Eternal City’ of the Roman Empire, on our included excursion. Rome boasts an incredibly rich heritage and a vibrant, cosmopolitan vibe, making it one of the top destinations globally. With a plethora of historical sites and diverse attractions, you’re sure to have a memorable time. You’ll have plenty of free time to wander and visit some of Rome’s most iconic landmarks like St. Peter’s Square, the Colosseum, and the Trevi Fountain at your own pace.
To fully appreciate the city, consider joining our optional guided sightseeing tour. This tour combines travel by coach with walking, offering an insightful introduction to Rome’s magnificent sights.
Optional Rome Guided Sightseeing (£36pp)
We depart from our hotel and head towards Montecatini Terme in Tuscany for an overnight stay. On our way, we’ll stop at Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, where you’ll have time to explore its rich historical tapestry at your leisure. Florence is renowned for its stunning architecture and numerous historical attractions. You might visit the Piazza della Signoria, home to the Neptune Fountain and a replica of Michelangelo’s David (the original is at the Galleria dell’Accademia), or marvel at the gothic Florence Cathedral and the historic Palazzo Vecchio.
To enrich your experience, consider our optional guided sightseeing tour. This tour begins with a coach ride to the hills behind Florence, leading to Piazza Michelangelo, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. After capturing this memorable scene, the coach will return you to Florence, where your guide will take you on a walking tour through the city’s charming streets, highlighting its major attractions.
Optional Florence Guided Sightseeing (£26pp)
This morning, our journey takes us to the enchanting city of Pisa. Here, we’ll visit the ‘Field of Miracles’, the historic heart of the town, where you’ll witness the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. It’s one of those sights where seeing it in person truly makes you believe in the marvel of its lean. After some free time to explore Pisa at your own pace, we’ll continue our trip to Lake Maggiore for a two-night stay.
Opt for our excursion to the southern shores of the stunning Lake Maggiore, where we’ll visit Baveno. From there, we’ll embark on a brief boat trip to explore the Borromean Islands, located in the heart of the lake. These islands are renowned for their natural beauty, further accentuated by their meticulously landscaped gardens and parks.
