Local departure by coach, then journey with your fellow travellers to delightful St Mawes on the Cornish coast for a seven-night stay.
After breakfast, we head to St Ives, often considered the jewel of Cornwall. Known for its stunning beaches, charming streets, and picturesque harbour, it’s no wonder this coastal town is one of the most popular in the region.
Next, we’ll explore the historic market town of Penzance, famous for its pirate legacy – the musical kind! With highlights such as the bustling port and Wharfside Shopping Centre, home to both independent shops and high street brands, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Enjoy a day at leisure, or opt for our excursion to discover two more of Cornwall’s gems – Looe and Polperro. Looe, a charming fishing harbour on the South East coast, boasts one of Cornwall’s largest fishing fleets and is the perfect spot to savour fresh seafood.
We’ll then head to Polperro, a picturesque fishing village known for its whitewashed cottages, a quaint harbour, and delightful cafés and gift shops, making it an ideal place to explore at a leisurely pace.
Optional Looe and Polperro excursion (additional charges may apply)
Falmouth, a town shaped by the sea, is rich in maritime heritage. An included visit to the National Maritime Museum offers a fascinating look into Cornwall’s history, with a variety of engaging exhibitions.
Afterward, enjoy some free time to explore Falmouth at your own pace, where you can discover a charming selection of shops, cafés, and restaurants.
Today, enjoy a free day to explore the charming village of St Mawes. Relax on the sandy beach, take in the panoramic views of the sea and estuary, and savour fresh seafood at the local pubs and restaurants.
Discover the village’s rich history and culture, from the 16th-century St Mawes Castle to its proud sailing heritage. In the afternoon, indulge in a traditional Cornish cream tea at one of the delightful tea rooms, or simply soak up the serene atmosphere – the choice is yours!
Today, we enjoy a true Cornish experience! Our first stop is the charming working fishing port of Padstow, known for its lively harbour, boutique shops, and art galleries. Take a moment to relax along the harbour wall and watch as fresh seafood is brought in.
Plus, indulge in an authentic Cornish fish and chips lunch at Rick Stein’s, a true taste of the region.
After lunch, we head to the picturesque Port Isaac, famous as the setting for the TV series Doc Martin. Explore the quaint harbour and visit iconic filming locations, before treating yourself to a delicious Cornish ice cream to round off your day.
Today, join our included excursion to explore both Newquay and Truro.
Newquay, Cornwall’s most popular seaside resort, is famous for its Fistral Beach, which hosts international surfing and watersports competitions. The town itself is filled with attractions, and you’ll have plenty of time to wander and pick up some souvenirs.
On our way back, we’ll stop in Truro, the capital of Cornwall. The stunning Truro Cathedral, with its 250-foot-high towers and beautiful Victorian stained glass windows, dominates the skyline. The surrounding streets are lined with excellent Cornish craft shops and locally-made goods, perfect for picking up authentic Cornish treats to take home.
We set off home today filled with memories of Cornish treasures.
