Local departure by coach, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.

We travel to an overnight hotel within the vicinity of Passau.
Day 3
Passau
We journey to Passau, famously known as the ‘three rivers city’ where the Danube, Inn, and Ilz converge. Here, we board the MS Serenade 1 and begin our overnight sail to Regensburg, enjoying dinner and a relaxing evening on board.
Day 4
Passau – Regensburg
This morning, we arrive in Regensburg, located at the northernmost point of the Danube. Join our optional city tour to explore the well-preserved medieval centre and its many attractions. In the afternoon, we continue our journey, cruising overnight towards Nuremberg.

Day 5
Nuremberg
Nuremberg, Bavaria’s second-largest city after Munich, is a fascinating blend of medieval and modern life. The city still boasts much of its original walls, with Gothic churches, aristocratic houses, fountains, and memorials, all crowned by the Kaiser Castle.
Join our optional city tour to explore the highlights before returning to the ship for an overnight sail to Bamberg.

Day 6
Bamberg
This morning, we arrive in Bamberg, situated at the start of the Main-Danube Canal. Surrounded by seven hills, it is home to Germany’s best-preserved medieval center, with the Old Town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Join our optional city tour to explore the cathedral, Altenburg Castle, the Old Town Hall, and the former Benedictine Monastery. In the afternoon, relax on board as we continue our journey towards Würzburg.

Day 7
Würzburg
This morning, you have free time to explore Würzburg, once home to the influential prince-bishops.
Alternatively, join our optional excursion to visit the stunning Würzburg Palace, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture, along with its 8th-century church and the Fortress Marienberg. In the evening, we set sail towards Wertheim.

Day 8
Wertheim-Miltenberg
This morning, enjoy free time to explore the historic town of Wertheim.
After lunch, we sail to Miltenberg, where we will dock overnight. Known as the “pearl of the river Main,” Miltenberg boasts charming half-timbered houses in its Old Market Place, with the oldest part of the town nestled between the Main River and Greinberg Mountain.
Day 9
Miltenberg – Aschaffenburg
Early this morning, we depart Miltenberg and continue our journey to Aschaffenburg, arriving just before lunch.
After lunch onboard, join our optional excursion to Johannisburg Palace, located in the heart of Aschaffenburg by the River Main. This palace was the second residence of the archbishop-electors of Mainz until 1803. In the evening, we set sail overnight towards Rüdesheim.

Day 10
Rüdesheim – Boppard
This morning we arrive in the charming wine town of Rüdesheim. Join our optional excursion to explore highlights such as Siegfried’s Mechanical Museum and enjoy a cable car ride with stunning views of the Rhine Valley. After lunch aboard the ship, we sail to Boppard, arriving early this afternoon.
The rest of the day is free to relax onboard or explore Boppard at your leisure.

Day 11
Boppard – Koblenz – Andernach
This morning, we set sail from Boppard to Koblenz, one of Germany’s oldest and most picturesque cities. Enjoy some free time to explore at your leisure before lunch aboard the ship.
In the afternoon, consider joining our optional excursion to Sayn Palace and the Butterfly Garden.
After dinner, we continue our journey and arrive in Andernach for an overnight stay.

Day 12
Andernach – Cologne
Today, we sail to Cologne, the largest city on the Rhine. Upon arrival this afternoon, you’ll have free time to relax or explore the city. In the evening, we gather for our farewell dinner aboard the MS Serenade 1.
Day 13
Today we say farewell to the MS Serenade 1 as we disembark in Cologne and head towards Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 14
Return home.
