Today, we head north into Northern Ireland, arriving in the vibrant capital, Belfast. Enjoy free time to explore at your own pace, with options including the Titanic Belfast® museum, the Crumlin Road Gaol, the Ulster Museum, or a stroll through the Botanic Gardens and Cathedral Quarter.
We then continue to the Dunadry Hotel and Gardens for a one-night stay.
Our journey continues along Northern Ireland’s scenic Antrim Coast, offering breathtaking sea views on one side and stunning Glens and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the other. After passing through Portrush, we arrive in Derry, where you’ll have free time to explore—consider joining a walking tour to learn about the city’s rich history or visit spots made famous by the TV show Derry Girls.
Derry’s fascinating past includes being established as a monastery, destroyed by Norse invaders, and marked by conflict. Today, the city embraces peace and unity, symbolized by the Peace Bridge and vibrant murals. It’s also a great place to shop, with the Richmond and Quayside Shopping Centres, as well as the Craft Village offering artisan treasures.
We then cross into the Republic of Ireland and head to the Ballyliffin Lodge Hotel for a two-night stay.
This morning, enjoy stunning views as we journey along Donegal’s coastal route, passing through the scenic Mamore Gap and the town of Buncrana, where you’ll catch beautiful views of Lough Swilly.
We then visit the Doagh Famine Village, an outdoor museum that tells the story of an Irish family from the 18th century to today. Our final stop is Malin Head, the northernmost point of Ireland, where you can admire the vast Atlantic Ocean and breathe in the fresh sea air.
This morning, we make a brief stop in Donegal to explore the highlights of this charming town before heading to Dublin. Whether you’re interested in history, shopping, art, or enjoying a pint of Guinness, Dublin has it all!
We’ll depart in the late evening, giving you time to enjoy a meal in the capital at your leisure before heading to our overnight hotel on the city’s outskirts.
We make our way to board our early morning ferry back to Holyhead and then the journey home. Depending on the ferry schedule, breakfast today may be on the ferry.
You will stay for one night at the 4-star Dunadry Hotel and Gardens in County Antrim then two nights at the 4-star Ballyliffin Lodge in County Donegal. Overnight stays will be on the outskirts of the Dublin area and will be in city-style hotels.
