From vibrant market towns to breathtaking coastal landscapes, this fully escorted coach tour showcases the best of Ireland’s west! Discover the stunning Dingle Peninsula, with its sweeping beaches, dramatic cliffs, and towering mountains. Marvel at the spectacular Cliffs of Moher and the beautiful beaches of Galway. We also explore the charming village of Adare, the medieval capital of Kilkenny, and the famous town of Killarney, where you can opt for a traditional jaunting car ride. Finally, we journey east to Dublin, where you can join an optional sightseeing tour before heading home with unforgettable memories of your Irish adventure.
Regional departure by coach, then to Holyhead for the ferry to Ireland, and onward to our overnight hotel.
Spend a leisurely morning exploring Kilkenny, a historic town on the River Nore that was once Ireland’s medieval capital and is home to fascinating castle ruins and landmarks.
After free time to explore, we travel to Cashel in County Tipperary for a lunch stop before continuing through County Cork into Kerry. In Killarney, you’ll have the chance to join an optional jaunting car ride with the Tangney family, who have been running this traditional experience for over 220 years.
Later, we continue to either Tralee or Killarney for a two-night stay at our hotel.
Optional Jaunting Car Ride (£20pp)
Today, we set off on an included excursion to Tralee, the gateway to the stunning Dingle Peninsula, beginning with a scenic drive through this breathtaking landscape.
Famous as a filming location for Ryan’s Daughter, the peninsula boasts dramatic cliffs, sweeping sandy beaches, and secluded bays, all framed by a striking mountain range that stretches from the Slieve Mish to Mount Brandon, Ireland’s second-highest peak.
In the afternoon, we arrive in the charming town of Dingle, where you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace.
Today, we depart our hotel and travel north to the Galway or Clare area for an overnight stay, stopping first in Adare, often called Ireland’s prettiest village, with its charming thatched cottages and boutique shops.
Next, we visit the stunning Cliffs of Moher (weather permitting), where you can take in breathtaking views from the 700-foot-high cliffs and explore the excellent Visitor Experience.
Our journey continues through County Clare and the unique, rocky landscape of the Burren before arriving at our hotel for the night.
We begin the day with a short visit to Galway, the ‘City of Tribes,’ where you can explore its beautiful beaches, scenic promenade, and charming cobbled streets.
Next, we travel east to Dublin, where you can join an optional sightseeing tour to see landmarks like Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the National Art Gallery, followed by free time to explore the city at your own pace. Perhaps visit the Guinness Storehouse for a panoramic view from the Gravity Bar (entrance not included), or simply soak up the vibrant atmosphere.
Later, we continue to our overnight hotel on the outskirts of the city.
