We will journey along the south coast, passing the stunning Freshwater Bay, and continue to Yarmouth, before heading through the scenic heart of the island.

Take some time to relax and explore at your own leisure, or join our optional excursion to the charming Victorian resort of Ryde on the island’s northeast coast. With its picturesque esplanade, vibrant marina, and stunning views across the Solent, Ryde offers a delightful blend of seaside attractions, Victorian architecture, and hidden treasures, making it one of the UK’s classic coastal destinations.

Osborne House

Opulent, grand, and truly remarkable, our included visit to Osborne House is a must-see. Wander through the magnificent State Rooms, the serene walled garden, and the intimate family quarters where Queen Victoria lived with Prince Albert and their nine children.

Queen Victoria herself described Osborne as “impossible to imagine a prettier spot,” and the house is filled with exquisite furnishings, treasures from the Royal Collection, and gifts from Heads of State across the British Empire.

Enjoy the Isle of Wight at your own pace.

Take a leisurely stroll along Sandown’s charming promenade, lined with deckchairs, beach huts, and the historic Victorian pier, which dates back to 1879. Sandown also boasts a range of attractions, an award-winning beach, and the popular Dinosaur Isle (entrance not included), where you can delve into the island’s fascinating geology and its impressive fossil history.

Alternatively, explore Shanklin’s Old Village, with its picturesque thatched cottages, quaint tea rooms, and delightful gift shops.

Day at leisure or Newport

Enjoy a day at leisure or join our optional excursion to vibrant Newport, the capital of the Isle of Wight. Newport offers a wide range of activities and is a fantastic shopping destination, with a blend of high street retailers and independent shops spread across the town’s two main Georgian squares. You can also explore the regular markets in St Thomas Square and visit the wonderful Farmers Market (check locally), where you’ll find local treats such as honey, garlic, and traditional fudge.

Optional Newport excursion (£10pp)

Isle of Wight Steam Railway and Godshill

Spend a full day taking in the island’s untouched countryside and charming villages aboard the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Relax in the beautifully restored carriages as you watch the stunning scenery unfold before you.

Afterwards, we’ll visit the picturesque village of Godshill, known for its charming thatched cottages and its delightful church, creating a perfect postcard scene.
