Continuing south to Italy, we arrive at to Alassio in the evening.

Cannes and Grasse

Today, we cross into France to visit Cannes, a glamorous seaside town renowned as a social hub and host of the famous May film festival. Stroll through Le Suquet’s charming cobbled streets, enjoy stunning views, or relax at a café by the marina, perfect for people-watching.

We then continue to Grasse, France’s perfume capital. Surrounded by fragrant blossom fields, this picturesque town offers highlights such as the Saracen Tower, the International Museum of Perfume, and the Church of Plascassier.

Monaco and Monte Carlo

Monaco is renowned for its relaxed charm, offering the perfect setting for a leisurely day out. With its museums, gardens, monuments, and more, there’s plenty to explore and enjoy.

We’ll visit Monte Carlo, nestled at the foot of the Maritime Alps. At its western end lies the iconic Place du Casino, the world-famous hub that has made Monte Carlo a playground for the rich and famous. Take in the stunning views of the glamorous marina, filled with luxury yachts, as well as the striking palace of Monaco.

Portofino

Explore the charming village of Portofino, tucked away in a serene coastal cove surrounded by olive-covered hills. The view from the harbor is breathtaking, and it’s easy to lose track of time simply admiring the scenery.

During our visit, we’ll have the chance to discover various attractions, including stunning views of Castello Brown, and visits to the Church of St. Martin, the Church of St. George, and the Santa Maria Assunta Oratory.

San Remo

Join us for an optional excursion to San Remo, a beautiful city on the Mediterranean coast of western Liguria, as part of our tour of the Italian and French Riviera.

Founded in Roman times, San Remo is renowned for its vibrant harbour and the striking Russian church, making it a popular destination on the Italian Riviera.

Ventimiglia and Menton

Join us for today’s included excursions. Explore the bustling street market in Ventimiglia and visit Menton, the ‘Lemon Festival Capital of the World.’

Situated near the French-Italian border, Menton boasts a unique microclimate, often milder than the rest of the French Riviera. With its charming architecture and stunning scenery, it’s a delightful place to explore.

We travel to northern France for an overnight stay.

Day 9

Return home.
