Killarney and the Ring Of Kerry

It’s easy to see why Killarney is called the ‘Jewel of Ireland,’ with its stunning mountains, serene lakes, and breathtaking scenery. Despite its small size, the town is full of charm, offering great shops, lively pubs, excellent restaurants, and a warm welcome from the friendly locals.
Regional departure by coach, then to Holyhead for the ferry to Ireland, and onward to our overnight hotel.
This morning, we depart and travel across the country, stopping in the historic town of Cashel. Nestled in the heart of Ireland, Cashel boasts fascinating archaeological sites, elegant Georgian architecture, and picturesque scenery.
We then continue to County Kerry, where we settle in for a three-night stay.
Today promises a spectacular adventure as we embark on a breathtaking 100-mile journey through some of the most stunning landscapes along the Atlantic Coast.
Sit back and enjoy the ever-changing scenery as we pass through charming villages, bustling market towns, and historic landmarks. Our route takes us through the famous Molls Gap, the picturesque Ladies’ View, and the stunning Killarney National Park.
For a truly memorable experience, you may opt for a traditional jaunting car ride. Operated by the Tangney family for over 200 years, these pony and trap tours offer a relaxing and unique way to explore the beauty of Killarney.
Optional Jaunting Car Ride (£21pp)
We travel west to Slea Head, where we take in dramatic views of the rugged Blasket Islands, often called the ‘next parish to America.’
Our journey continues along the stunning coastline featured in Ryan’s Daughter, offering breathtaking vistas of sandy beaches, towering cliffs, and secluded bays at every turn.
Later, we enjoy free time to explore the charming harbour town of Dingle, known for its lively atmosphere and scenic beauty.
As our holiday comes to an end, we journey back to Dublin, where you’ll have free time to explore the city’s sights.
Wander down bustling Grafton Street, enjoy a pint of the ‘black stuff’ in the lively Temple Bar district, or take a stroll across the iconic Ha’Penny Bridge.
Alternatively, join our optional guided tour to discover more about Ireland’s capital, with highlights including Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the Guinness Storehouse.
We then continue to our overnight hotel on the outskirts of the city.
Optional Dublin Sightseeing Tour (£26pp)
To Holyhead, then home.
